This is the main interface of OWA as shown in Internet Explorer.

Let’s send an email from administrator@maattoos.local to exadmin@maattoos.local.
You will find that a bounced message comes back to you because ExAdmin is just a user in Active Directory without a mailbox.
Let’s configure a couple of things to make this exchange environment up and running.
Mail Flow Configuration
Launch https://ex2013.maattoos.local/ecp.
ECP stands for Exchange Control Panel. The following is the main interface of ECP.
Create an accepted domain
In ECP, click Mail Flow, accepted domains to create a new accepted domain. Note that the default accepted domain maattoos.local is already present. Let’s create an Internet domain to allow this exchange server to accept mail for the domain maattoos.COM. Click The + sign to do that.
Enter information as shown:
Name: maattoos Internet Domain
Accepted Domain: maattoos.COM
The domain type is authorotative. Click Save when done.
Create a new Email Address Policy
We want that every time we create a new mailbox, the new email address will be alias@maattoos.com. This is done by an Email Address Policy. Click mail flow, email address policy, and then click the + sign.
Enter the policy name and click the + sign.
Select maattoos.com as the accepted domain and choose alias@contoso.com as the email address format.
Click Save again at the Email Address Policy windows.
Click Apply so that all existing mailboxes will be updated with the new email address.
Note the status now shows Applied.
Create a New Send Connector
In order to send email we need to create a send connector. Click mail flow, send connector and then click the + sign.
Fill information as follows and click Next.
Leave default settings and click Next.
Click + to add a new Send Connector.
SMTP,*,1, also make sure there is an FQDN of exchange.maattoos.com.
Click Next.
Click + to specify source server.
Highlight the server, click add, and then click OK.
Click Finish.
Create a New Receive Connector
In order to be able to receive email, make sure you have the default receive connectors, don’t change anything.
Explanation of the five default receive connectors are as follows:
Default Client Font End Transport (FrontEnd Transport) – TLS, Basic, Integrated, Exchange users, port 587
Default Client Proxy (Hub Transport) – TLS, Basic, Offer Basic after TLS, Integrated, Exchange Server Auth, Exchange Servers, Exchange users, port 465
Default Front End Transport (FrontEnd Transport) – TLS, Basic, Offer Basic after TLS, Integrated, Exchange server auth, Exchange Servers, Legacy Exchange Servers, Anonymous Users, port 25
Default Hub Transport (hub transport) – TLS, Basic, Offer Basic after TLS, Integrated, Exchange Server Auth, Exchange Servers, Legacy, Exchange Users, port 2525
Default Outbound Proxy Frontend Transport (Frontend transport) TLS, Enable domain security, Basic, Offer basic after TLS, integrated, Exchange server auth, exchange servers, anonymous, port 717
Test Send and Receive of email
Let’s add a mailbox for ExAdmin. Click recipient, mailboxes, and click +.
Enter the Alias as ExAdmin. click Browse and choose the account ExAdmin. Hit Save.
Now you should have two email mailboxes on our Exchange server.
Use your favorite browser, access https://ex2013.maattoos.local/owa, log in as maattoos\Administrator and send an email from administrator@maattoos.com to a Yahoo mail account.
Check your Yahoo account and reply to the message. Check Junk of Yahoo if you do not see the email after a while.
Let’s reply to that email from Yahoo!
You should receive the email in the administrator’s inbox.
